카타르 월드컵 개막식에 불을 붙인 BTS 정국
현지시간 11월 20일 카타르 알버트 경기장(Albert Stadium, Qatar)에서 진행된 카타르 대 에콰도르 개막경기 전, BTS의 정국(Jung Kook)과 현지 가수 Fahad al-Kubaisi가 함께 축하 공연을 펼쳤다. 당일 개막식에서는 약 6만여명의 관중들이 정국의 무대에 환호를 보냈다.
이날 개막공연은 총 7막으로 구성돼 약 30분 동안 진행됐다. 국제축구연맹 FIFA는 공식 발표를 통해 "개막식의 주제는 인성, 존중, 포용을 통해 차이를 연결하는 모든 인류의 모임"이라고 밝혔다.
당일 정국이 노래한 《Dreamers》는
K-POP 솔로 가수가 처음으로 단독으로 부른
월드컵 공식 OST이다.
국제축구연맹 FIFA는 이번 노래 《Dreamers》는
FIFA 월드컵을 처음 개최하는 카타르 팬들의 꿈을 충족하는
남다른 의미를 갖고 있다고 밝혔다.
《Dreamers》와 《Hayya Hayya》, 《Arhbo》 등
모든 노래는 이번 월드컵의 OST이다.
처음으로 동계시즌에 개최되는 이번 월드컵은
A조에 속한 주최국인 카타르와 에콰도르의 경기로 시작됐고
총 29일간 진행된다.
본선에 진출한 32개국은 4개국씩 총 8개 조로 나뉘어
조별리그를 치른 뒤 16강, 8강, 4강, 결승까지
카타르 8개 경기장에서 총 64경기를 치르게 된다.
이 외에 파울루 벤투(PAULO JORGE BENTO GOMES) 감독이
이끌고 있는 한국 국가대표팀은 H조에 편성되어
11월 24일 밤 10시(한국시간)에 우루과이(Uruguay)와
11월 28일 밤 10시에는 가나(Ghana),
12월 3일 0시 포르투갈(Portugal)과 각각 경기를 치른다.
